Yesterday we went over the very basics about Beef Shares. What they are, what you can expect, etc.
If you missed it, you can check it out at the link below (after YEARS of thinking about it, I finally figured out how to turn these emails into blog posts, we're getting sophisticated around here).
Beef Shares 101: What is a Beef Share?
Today, I want to get into the nitty gritty details of how the Beef Share process works.
I know that if you're used to buying meat from the grocery store, or even the farmer's market, ordering a share of a cow might feel downright weird.
But the process is incredibly simple.
Deposits open at 7am on May 1st @ 7am, and there are 3 easy steps to getting your beef.....
Step #1: Place Your Deposit
As soon as deposits open May 1st, you can reserve your beef share by placing a deposit*.
As soon as your deposit is placed, you are guaranteed a share of our spring harvest (and it's first come first served, so order early to get in the first group).
After you place your deposit, you’ll receive an email confirmation automatically. Then, within a week I'll reach out to give you some more details about what to expect (and do my best to give you real time updates as we get closer to harvest time).
Step #2: Pay your balance and schedule your beef’s shipping date
Towards the end of April we will be shipping cattle to our butcher to be processed.
On your scheduled butcher date I will reach out to you with your final invoice. Then our butchers will dry-age, process, package and freeze your beef.
Once your beef is ready (about 3-4 weeks later, once it is dry-aged) we’ll pack up your share and schedule your shipping or pickup date.
Step #3: We ship your beef to your front door (or you pick it up) and you enjoy a freezer full of nutrient dense, delicious beef!
That’s the entire process from start to finish. All that's left is for you to enjoy the wonderful benefits of having a beef share in your freezer.
That's all for today. In a day or two I'll be sharing some helpful feedback from last year's Beef Share members, to help you see the benefits of buying beef like this.
BUT keep scrolling to get the details on our different share sizes, and a helpful guide to freezer space.

PS – If you have any questions, please send them my way. I’d be glad to answer you, and I’m working on a Frequently Asked Questions guide for our Beef Shares - and I’d love to have more to include.
